Welcome to the online headquarters for my campaign for Las Vegas Justice Court Judge, Department 13!
I’m glad you stopped by and hope you will visit often, as the material and content of these pages will change throughout the course of the campaign. You can sign up here for campaign email and website updates.
I also hope you will use the Contact Suzan page, to contact me with your questions and/or suggestions. I always return telephone calls and emails in a timely fashion, a cornerstone of my strong commitment to public service.
Public service is the heart of my campaign: I’m running for Judge to protect and serve the well being, safety and future growth of our community. I believe my experience as a Judge Pro Temi (where I spend a significant amount of time) and my years of service as the Executive Director for the Nevada Law Foundation (which provides financial resources to aid victims of domestic violence and the legally disenfranchised) has given me the on-the-job training to begin hearing and judging cases the first day on the job.
Thanks again for taking the time to visit my online campaign headquarters! Don’t forget to sign up here for campaign email and website updates!
Sincerely,
Suzan Baucum Candidate for Las Vegas Justice Court, Department 13
P.S. After you’ve explored the website and learned more about me and why I’m running, I hope you’ll make the decision to support me and get involved with our campaign!
Visit the top of the page to sign up for email updates. Volunteer for the campaign here and donate to the campaign here! Every email sign-up, door knocked, phone call made and donation (large, medium or small) goes a long way towards helping us win this election! Thanks!
i In law, judge pro tem refers to a judge who is sitting temporarily for another judge or to an attorney who has been appointed to serve as a judge as a substitute for a regular judge.

ENDORSEMENT ADVICE:
Here’s a little advice. When your opponent receives endorsements, don’t waste time ridiculing them.
LAS VEGAS – It’s bound to backfire, as in the justice of the peace race between Jim Gubler and Suzan Baucum. Gubler was inaccurately critical of Baucum’s armload of major endorsements, then was chastised by Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Jane Ann Morrison, creating fodder for a bruising Baucum mass mailer.
